Steelhead in the State of Jefferson

I haven't been fully bitten by the Steelhead thing but had my path turned down this road a quarter century ago I could clearly envision how my life would have been consumed by standing in swift water swing flies on long rods waiting for the tug that seldom came.

A stunning video about one man's experience (via Gary W.)

For those of you unfamiliar with the State of Jefferson, you can find out more about this crackpot We the People interesting idea on the Jefferson State website.

  1. I liked that one a lot. And I mean that in the old, traditional sense of "like", which is the only form of the word I really know. My understanding is that there is another one, widely in use among those who frequent FaceSpace or MyBook, or whatever.

    1. Like I really liked it to but I couldn't like it cause there was no like button but like then thought I don't like, you know, have to press a button cause liking it is as easy as just saying, like, I like it.

      I like it.

  2. I'm glad the guy got hooked up. This epitomizes what I imagine steelheading is like, cold rainy days mixed with equal parts of "damn I got skunked again."
