  2. Looks like a simple pattern to tie, and, I expect it will be very effective. I could use a pattern description on materials or a few samples!

    1. I'll post something up this week with the report. PT for the tail, abdomen is thread, olive antron dubbing for the thorax, partridge legs and a bit of pearl tinsel over the thorax for some flash.

    2. Thanks, Steve, for the description. I will get a few tied to see how Colorado trout react to them. Waiting to read your report!

    1. This is a variant on the WD40. Some WD40s are just a dubbing ball on a thread body, which can be quite effective. I've added patridge legs and a wing case of pearl tinsel.

    1. That's about as mashed as the barb gets on a size 18 hook with my pliers. I don't think the trout mind too much.

    2. well that's a very nice fly. I'll try a couple. if they're as easy to tie as they look, I may even get a half decent one.

  5. Tie that on a slightly larger hook and it would be a fantastic low water steelhead offering... looks fishy, love the color. I,ll take 60 of em'

    1. That's an interesting thought. I think I'll tie up a few on an eight and a ten.
